中文的"許多的"本身就有很多表示方式,同樣英文單字裡面也有很多單字室表示許多的的,只是用法、意思上有或多或少的差異,所表現出來的意思也有不相同的意思。就好比我們表示人很多有可能用人山人海,或者是很多的人這樣不同的形容方式。但其中更重要的是後面到底是要接可數名詞,還是不可數的名詞這是務必要搞懂的,因為弄錯是會被扣分的,所以一定要多看不同的例句,尤其是新聞雜誌或是字典這種用詞遣字上相對嚴謹字句最好。
