托福口說高分範例 (四) 

托福口說的第一、二大題考官除了很重視是否"切題"之外，更重要是你是否有辦法在極短的時間內(15秒)思考出一個完整的回答內容，先試想如果用中文丟出以下問題你是否有辦法在相同的時間內容回答出完整內容，老實說這也有一定的難度假如你不曾高強度地訓練自我回答的話；所以首先你要先讓自己學會快速地聯想其他相關內容的單字片語，唯有透過這樣才能在很短的時間內就組合成一小段落的回答內容，甚至是舉例。

Task 1. Describe a place that you like best in your city. Please state why you like it with specific examples and details.      

Personally speaking, my favorite place in my city is the national library based on following reasons.      

Firstly, there are many books to my taste, such as fashion magazines, inspirational books, and professional books. Reading does good to our mind. As a student, we should always recharge ourselves by knowledge in order to meet the need of talents in this society.      

Secondly, I always go to the library with my friends. You know, it’s my glad to share knowledge with other people. Going to the library not only can we acquire knowledge but also can promote our friendship to some degree.     

 My favorite place in my city is the New Oriental Restaurant. The New Oriental restaurant is the largest restaurant in our city and it provides all kinds of food, from sea food to curry, and from sushi to barbeque. Though I am a picky gourmet, the New Oriental can make me satisfy. Besides, the New Oriental is accessible by several buses and subway lines and it hence can be reached within half an hour from my home, even during rush hour. The price of the New Oriental is very reasonable and the waiters there provide well rounded service. I love the NO.

Task 2. Describe a social or politics celebration event in your culture. Specific examples and details are necessary in your statement.      

Speaking of social celebration in my culture, there is one day of the year that is second to none, the Chinese New Year, which is also called the Spring Festival by most Chinese People. Even if you are indifferent with festive events, you cannot resist the charm of a family reunion dinner which marks the defining feature of the Spring Festival. And family members make toasts for each other in order to wish for joy, peace, health and fortune for the next year.      

A type of social event celebrated in my culture is the flag-raising ceremony on National Day. Oceans of people from all across the country come to Beijing the day before. They are very excited to see the ceremony with their own eyes instead of on TV. Some even have been planting this dream in their mind for years. They arrive around 6:00 early in the morning, waiting for the special moment. I guess they are all overwhelmed and thrilled by the wonderful scene at the time. On the other hand, the view of the honor guard parade is fantastic, the guards all wearing the green military uniform and marching to Tian'anmen Square with a high spirit. Each birthday celebration of the great country always begins with such a solemn flag-raising ceremony, which strengthens the unity and motivation of its people. 

Task 3. Which of the following acts have more influence on you, newspaper, TV, or teachers? Explain the reason with specific details.       

I definitely think that it is TV that influences me most among the three.        

First, from the news broadcasting in the television, we can know what is happening in the outside world even without stepping out our living room with television in it. I just want to keep myself informed of what’s going on in the world.      

And second, watching television with family members after supper is a good way to relax after a hard day’s work. What’s more, its visual effect makes me feel less stressed and has a great influence on the way I think and talk. So that’s why I think it influences me most.      

For me, the influence from my teachers is incomparable. Mass media, such as newspapers and TV programs are just tools for accessing information. These are just one-way communication, without any personal and heartfelt interactions. However, the teachers? influence could not merely measured by the comments on graded papers or the objective knowledge they have taught. My heart is filled with gratitude for Prof. Kuang, my master supervisor. Through her, I learned the spirit of academics. I learned how to hold myself when facing “catastrophes” in life and go through them. So, compared with newspaper or TV, the teachers? influence is much more long-lasting and profound.
